Making Christmas gifts

We have been busy today making Christmas gifts for our families.

Concrete Mixer at the Skate Park

We went down to look at the new Skate Park. The big concrete mixer was pouring the concrete onto the concrete pad.

Making biscuits

As part of our letter of the week activity we made chocolate chip biscuits.

Bryce and the Kitten

Bryce came to our class today with his new kitten. The children loved it.

Christmas has reached Room Tahi today!!

Our Christmas tree is up and the kids are loving it!!! Maybe Santa might come and bring presents!!

What's been happening this week?

We are very busy this week. In writing we are writing our Santa wishlists and sending them off to Santa. For our inquiry we are getting the compost bin sorted and changing our rubbish bins to help reduce the rubbish we have at school. Photos to follow soon!!

Week 2

Pet Day is on Friday, remember to bring your Pet Diaries back to school ready for Friday. This week we are busy making our Recycled Construction Animals. Photos to be published at a later date.

Welcome back to Term 4

It is so great to have everyone back, everyone looks so refreshed and ready for an action packed term. Isobel Manson is joining Room Tahi on Wednesday and we have another student beginning later in the term.

Art Unit - we are looking at Construction this term, we are going to construct animals out of recycled materials, if you have anything that we could use please send it to school by Thursday.

Polyfest

We all had an awesome time at Polyfest and the children performed well.

Polyfest

All children have been practising really hard this week for our Polyfest item on Friday. Remember to bring your Tokanui sweatshirt to school on Thursday in a named plastic bag please. Any questions please let me know.

Winnie the Pooh

Over the last two weeks we have introduced a new bear to our class. Winnie the Pooh goes home to a person in Room Tahi's house every weekend. They spend time with the child and then the child writes about what they did in the weekend with Winnie the Pooh. Then they bring Winnie the Pooh back to school and share with the class their adventures.

Cammy took him home and had a fantastic time. This weekend it was Luke's turn. Below is a photo of Luke and Winnie the Pooh at Splash Palace. I can't wait to hear all about their adventures tomorrow.

Speeches

We are underway with our speeches this week. Please check the timetable that was sent home for homework.

The Day Cinnamon came to school

The children loved having the goat come today. Thank you Zoe for bringing her for news. The children have also written some sentences about her.
